Position Overview

This opportunity is for an open position in the Digital, Data & Enablement (DDE) Team within the Client and Product Solutions (CPS) organization at Apollo. This role presents an opportunity to be part of a solutions-oriented team within an established firm that is on a multi-year journey to unlock the full potential of distribution intelligence to strengthen and grow the business. The Data Management Product Owner will lead Apollo's data strategy for client and distribution data domains, overseeing the design, governance, and roadmap of our core data platforms: Snowflake (our cloud data warehouse and foundational distribution data model) and Semarchy (our Client Master platform responsible for generating golden client and account records). This individual will serve as the business owner and strategic connector between technology, data engineering, and commercial business teams—ensuring our data architecture enables scalable analytics, sales enablement, and client intelligence initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and execute the data management and governance roadmap across Snowflake and Semarchy, aligning to strategic priorities in Client & Product Solutions.

  • Serve as the product owner for Apollo's client and distribution data platforms, managing enhancements, prioritizing backlogs, and partnering with engineering partners on delivery.

  • Establish and enforce data standards, taxonomies, lineage, and quality controls to maintain integrity and consistency across systems.

  • Partner with Sales, Capital Solutions, Marketing, Product, Investor Services, and broader business stakeholder teams to align on data definitions, integration requirements, and use cases.

  • Collaborate with analytics and enablement teams to ensure data structures support KPI reporting, client segmentation, and commercial insights.

  • Oversee integrations between Snowflake, Semarchy, Salesforce, Seismic, MarTech tools and other platforms

  • Define and monitor key data quality metrics; lead remediation efforts and data stewardship practices.

  • Manage relationships with platform vendors and internal engineering partners to ensure scalable delivery and adoption.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of data professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes and foster a culture of data excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or product ownership within asset management, private markets, or financial services.

  • Deep understanding of client, account, and product data structures used in investment management distribution.

  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing Snowflake, Semarchy, or comparable data management platforms.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data lineage concepts.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives that bridge technology, data, and business priorities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data topics into actionable business insights.

  • Proven leadership experience developing teams and managing external vendors or data partners.

Pay Range

$150,000 - $185,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
