Grand Food, a dynamic and growing DBA of GrubMarket located in Hayward near the Hayward Bridge, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. GrubMarket is a large and healthy wholesale corporation in the Bay Area, committed to providing fresh and healthy food options.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to a busy accounting department and gain hands-on experience with key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a large volume of accounting transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and customer collections.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory closes, comparing physical counts with system records (in the millions of dollars).
  • Handle multi-tasking duties, including answering phone calls from vendors and customers.
  • Support the Accounting Team in various day-to-day operations.
  • Be trained on and assist with monthly bank reconciliations and related General Ledger (GL) entries.
  • The customer service / inside sales position communicates with customers and internal groups to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of daily B2B sales orders.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or Finance, or actively working towards one of these degrees.
  • Language: Must be Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be hardworking, possess excellent attention to detail, and be strongly number-oriented.
  • Work Schedule: This is a full-time position (Monday through Friday, 8 hours daily). Candidates must be willing to work early mornings, with a start time between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
