HX5 is currently seeking a Training Systems Engineer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Simulators Division at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in procurement, modification, and performance of B-52 Aircraft training devices and systems
  • Offer technical guidance in training system analysis, development, risk management, and hardware/software integration
  • Aid in the integration of visual, radar, infrared/electro-optic, and tactical environment systems for training devices
  • Contribute to the design and development of flight systems and dynamics modeling for simulation
  • Support networking and distributed operations of training systems, as well as systems engineering and cost estimation
  • Serve as a liaison for the Program Management Office during testing and simulation certification events
  • Assist with the information assurance for training device certification and manager concurrency issues, including budgeting and modifications
  • Help establish testing plans and procedures, enforce simulator standards, and evaluate new technologies for Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) and courseware

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, eight (8) years must be in the DoD.
  • ABET accredited engineering degree is recommended

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
