Join our team As a Systems Engineer for an Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) team, you will ensure that our people, processes, and tools are in a digitally connected ecosystem. You will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge digital products and services. You'll be developing complex software system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, using them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Product Owners and other engineering disciplines on technical approaches

• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

• Analyzing context of deliverable solution against constraints and available technology

• Exercising independent judgment on software architecture, methods, and techniques to achieve results

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

• Knowledge of industry standard Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools

• Thorough understanding of requirements management, systems design, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

• Software Systems Experience, experience in development, integration, and test of software systems

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Prior experience developing IDEs

• Advanced Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB

• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

• Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures

• Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)

• Experience integrating with existing or legacy aircraft platforms

• Experience working in Agile environments with Atlassian tools

• Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks

• Understanding of basic networking concepts including IP addressing, routing, secure communication protocols

• Knowledge of data transfer procedures across classification boundaries including secure file transfer methods between low and high side systems
