Job Description

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a client account specialist to join a well-regarded DC law firm. The Specialist will collaborate with attorneys, staff, and clients to review client fee arrangements, making sure that they line up with internal team and outside counsel guidelines, and are set up correctly in billing platforms. This is a terrific role for a legal billing professional looking for a client facing role

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and maintain relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff
  • Handle complex billing arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with client and attorney billing requirements
  • Manage billing and collections processes from engagement to collections
  • Review outside counsel guidelines and engagement letters to ensure billing terms and conditions are consistent
  • Manage new business forms engagement letters, and other documents
  • Stay up to date with firm's processes and procedures

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of legal billing experience or client accounting experience
  • Proficient in Elite or Aderant, Excel, and Access
  • Professional communication skills

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
