ECHO Realty is seeking to hire an Accounting Associate who will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day and monthly financial accounting and tasks for assigned properties.

Contributions you will make to the team:

  1. Models ECHO's core values (The ECHO Way) and exhibits exemplary leadership.
  2. Prepare monthly financial reports – prepare journal entries, balance sheet and income statement preparation, variance analysis and bank reconciliations.
  3. Monitor cash receipts, review and bill tenant recurring and reimbursable charges and billing adjustments and perform tenant ledger reconciliations.
  4. Ensure timely collections of tenants Accounts Receivable.
  5. Review invoice coding and approvals to ensure proper accounting treatment.
  6. Prepare monthly mortgage and ground rent vouchers in accordance with amortization schedules and loan statements. Review ROU assets for accuracy.
  7. Develop an understanding for CAM reconciliations and learn the process.
  8. Assist with annual budget preparation.
  9. Maintain/update Fixed Asset records in accordance with ECHO's Capitalization Policy.
  10. Review Management Fees and monthly rental billings.
  11. Recommend enhancements to accounting systems and internal controls.

Requirements you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree(B.S./B.A.) in Accounting or Finance from a 4 year college or university.
  • Prior accounting experience and knowledge of MRI accounting software preferred.
