Overview

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and disciplined freelance graphic designer, who enjoys working on a broad array of projects with considerable creative freedom. This individual will be required to complete a wide variety of print and digital design projects, both large and small, for a wide variety of clients.

This position is a freelance design opportunity and would be performed remotely (ideally a resident of Minnesota). Attending some virtual meetings during normal business hours (8:00am - 5:00pm CST) will be required. In-person meetings, customer visits/activities may occasionally be requested, but not required. Often, quick turnaround (sometimes same day) projects may be requested. Responsive communication and on-time project delivery is essential for success in this position.

The estimated starting workload for this individual is 10-40 hours per month.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for working on a variety of projects, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Production design - reformat existing designs to various sizes and formats, prepare files for print, etc.

  • Illustrative design - such as iconography, artwork and other visual elements used in marketing campaigns

  • Print design - including product labels/packaging, print ads, direct mail, marketing/sales collateral, presentations, business cards, letterhead, etc.

  • Digital design - including display ads, emails, social media content, infographics, graphics, etc.

  • Website design - create layouts and designs for individual website pages/landing pages and complete websites

  • Work with Art Director to develop a vision for each project and manifest it in your work

Qualifications

Ideal qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional graphic design experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Adobe Design Suite

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • English proficiency

  • Comfortable working with deadlines, and on multiple projects at the same time

  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal oversight and supervision

  • Video/Photo editing skills is a plus

  • Previous agency experience preferred
