Join a team that transforms components into life-impacting medical devices. As a Microscale Electromechanical Assembly Specialist, you'll assemble, test, and document with cleanroom discipline and craftsmanship.

Status: Contract-to-Perm

Schedules: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift

Core responsibilities
  • Uphold cleanroom standards through proper gowning and environmental protocols.
  • Assemble plastic and metal parts into finished medical products following approved SOPs and work instructions.
  • Use tools and equipment: manual/powered hand tools, manual presses, assembly fixtures, calibrated gauges, measurement instruments, microscopes, and test fixtures.
  • Execute to documentation: BOMs, product flow charts, work orders, check sheets, visual aids, production reports, and assembly drawings.
  • Perform processes such as soldering, crimping, mechanical fastening, sealing, ultrasonic welding, bonding, and adhesive application (Epoxy, RTV).
  • Complete kitting using parts lists, barcode scanners, and inventory software.
  • Carry out start-up and end-of-day equipment checks and verifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections; escalate quality or operational nonconformances promptly.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly station; participate in safety training and report hazards.
  • Engage in cross-functional Kaizen/continuous improvement activities.
  • Achieve quality, throughput, and GMP targets aligned with customer and Regulatory Affairs requirements; read and apply product-specific operating procedures after training.
  • Flag any deviation from process sheets immediately; maintain rigorous attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and line leads to resolve issues and optimize procedures.
  • Record quality data, WIP status, test results, labor/timecards, and special project notes accurately.
  • Comply with company policies, manufacturing procedures, and applicable ISO, QSR, and FDA regulations.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Experience assembling, testing, and documenting mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Clear, professional communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Resilient, flexible, and ready to tackle unexpected tasks.
  • Preferred: background in medical device manufacturing.
  • Preferred: familiarity with medical device regulatory procedures, lean manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Strong manual dexterity, excellent hand–eye coordination; adept with small parts under a microscope.
  • Comfort using tweezers, torque drivers, magnifiers, and microscopes.
