Director of Operations – Multi-Site Healthcare | Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE)

Full-Time | $70,000–$80,000/year (based on experience)

Location: Requires travel across multiple North Carolina and Virginia clinic sites

At Autism Center of Excellence (AutismCOE), we deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy that empowers children with autism and supports their families. As we continue to expand clinical services, we're seeking a Director of Operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence across our growing organization.

This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, builds strong relationships, and embraces process improvement. You'll partner closely with clinical leadership, HR, administrative teams, and site coordinators to support outcomes that matter.

What You'll Do

  • Provide operational leadership across multiple clinics and service lines
  • Develop and implement systems that improve efficiency, engagement, and service quality
  • Establish, track, and optimize KPIs, workflows, and operational benchmarks
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control to support sustainability and growth
  • Streamline hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development in partnership with HR
  • Lead initiatives that improve patient experience and staff retention
  • Oversee facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, compliance, and brand consistency
  • Drive marketing, outreach, and community engagement to support clinic growth
  • Manage resource allocation and scheduling to maintain coverage and productivity
  • Solve operational challenges proactively using data, collaboration, and creativity
  • Report on operational performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
  • Support leadership development and recognition efforts across the organization

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing multi-site operations (healthcare or service-based strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and scaling processes
  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities across all levels
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to earn trust and buy-in
  • Ability to navigate change with composure, focus, and optimism
  • Experience in ABA therapy operations (strongly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel between clinic sites as needed
