About Us

Poppy & Seed is a Michelin Guide recognized casual fine dining restaurant located by the Packing House District in Anaheim. Inspired by James Beard semifinalist Chef Michael Reed and his garden, we serve refined American small plates, creative cocktails, and seasonal dishes in a modern greenhouse setting.

Summary

As a Dishwasher, you are an essential part of our culinary team. You'll ensure that the kitchen, dining room, and service areas remain clean, organized, and efficient so that our chefs and service staff can perform at their best. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, high-performing kitchen.

What You'll Do

  • Clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation and safety standards
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, bathrooms, and dining areas
  • Assist with basic food preparation, such as washing or portioning ingredients, when needed
  • Ensure all cleaning and storage areas are organized and properly maintained
  • Support banquet or special events through setup, cleaning, and breakdown
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines to prevent contamination
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service

Who You Are

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
  • You are reliable, punctual, and take pride in keeping a clean and organized workspace
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • You maintain focus and attention to detail even during busy service periods
  • You value teamwork and understand how your role supports the success of the entire operation

Requirements

  • ServSafe certification required; CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to arrive to work on time and follow established safety and sanitation protocols
