This role is based in New York City and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About The Team

The FP&A team partners with senior leadership to drive financial clarity, strategic decision-making, and operational discipline across the company. We combine deep financial analysis with a strong understanding of the business to guide investment decisions, manage company-wide planning and quarterly re-forecasting, and evaluate growth opportunities. Our mandate is to ensure the company scales efficiently, balancing long-term strategy with near-term execution through data-driven insights, rigorous financial modeling, and proactive business partnership.

About The Role

In this role, you will help define how Patreon invests millions in marketing initiatives, providing strategic insights to guide our GTM strategy and maximize impact. You'll join a lean, strategic finance team with high visibility across the company, working cross-functionally and growing alongside Patreon's expansion.

We're looking for a GTM-focused Strategic Finance professional to partner with our Marketing, Creator Partnerships, and Creator Management teams. You'll manage budgets, evaluate ROI, and provide insights that shape critical decisions around marketing investments and strategic partnerships.

In this role, you will be:

Business partnering: Act as a trusted finance partner to GTM leaders, gaining deep understanding of their strategies, timelines, and investment plans.

Developing strategic frameworks and recommendations: Provide recommendations to optimize marketing and partnerships investments. Establish ROI benchmarks and a consistent evaluation framework for funding major initiatives.

Owning forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis for GTM functions: budgeting and forecasting, discretionary marketing business partnering, and reporting.

Improving financial processes: Scale and improve financial processes around GTM and OpEx management, ensuring better visibility, controls, and decision support.

Advancing ad-hoc projects: Support strategic finance initiatives such as headcount planning, benchmarking, and more.

About You

  • 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or strategic finance and FP&A (preferably at a high-growth tech company).

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills and willingness to work with granular quantitative data.

  • Advanced Excel skills; willingness or experience working with tools such as SQL and Adaptive Planning.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to distill complex analysis into actionable recommendations, adapting messaging effectively for audiences from ICs to VPs and the executive team. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Passion for the creator economy and Patreon's mission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with GTM functions (marketing, partnerships, sales) and ROI frameworks.

  • Prior FP&A experience in a high-growth environment.
