We are seeking a Boat Harnessing Technician to join our team

In this role, you will be responsible for the creation of electrical harnesses and wiring systems for boats while maintaining New Wire Marine's standards of quality and excellence. Additional responsibilities may include performing tasks assigned by management to meet identified production department needs.

Essential Functions

  • Boat Harnessing
  • Create harnesses based on cut lists and drawings
  • Prepare harnesses for shipment with proper documentation
  • Set up boat harnessing boards
  • Fill out harness column in the production flow, properly tracking and documenting harnessing time
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively to address any challenges and suggest improvements to any work processes.
  • Safety
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and practices, including using protective equipment (PPE) in required production areas.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and precision.
  • Ability to work efficiently and stay organized
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods while working on tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and wiring schematics and drawings.
  • Proficient utilization of hand/power tools
  • Technical knowledge, training or certification (ABYC - American Boat & Yacht Council) is preferred but not required.
