Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their development through engaging activities, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in toddlers.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and caregiving.
  • Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny/babysitter.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
  • First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all students.
  • Ability to engage effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
