Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Afternoon Shift)

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Infant/Toddler Teacher provides nurturing, developmentally appropriate care and education to children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. This position supports the lead teacher in implementing a safe, engaging, and responsive classroom environment that fosters each child's growth in social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom & Childcare:

  • Ensure constant supervision and safety of all children in the classroom.

  • Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily routines and activities aligned with Creative Curriculum and developmental milestones.

  • Maintain a warm, calm, and responsive presence with children throughout the day.

  • Follow established health, safety, diapering, and hygiene procedures.

Learning & Development:

  • Engage children in sensory, motor, and language-rich experiences appropriate to their developmental level.

  • Support children's independence, self-help skills, and positive behavior through modeling and gentle guidance.

  • Assist with developmental observations and documentation as directed by the lead teacher.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Collaborate with teaching team to ensure consistency and quality of care.

  • Communicate respectfully with families at drop-off and pick-up times, sharing highlights or concerns as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all child and family information.

Environment & Operations:

  • Help organize and sanitize classroom materials and play areas daily.

  • Follow all center policies and state licensing regulations.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting (preferred).

  • CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required).

  • Knowledge of child development and positive guidance techniques.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, sit on the floor, and engage actively with children.

  • Warm, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
