We're not looking for someone to just maintain existing processes - we need a strategic thinker to re-imagine publishing operations from the ground up. You'll architect solutions for refining how we manage publishing rights, support partners and help the industry address conflicts and conflict resolution.

This is your chance to shape how the world's largest social platforms engage with the global music industry, working directly with major publishing partners while building scalable automation that will define industry standards and expectations. Responsibilities
Who We're Looking For: A creative problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity, drives change, and leads transformational progress by building relationships with broad stakeholders—from industry publishing partners to internal cross-functional teams. You influence decisions, champion innovation, and establish new operational standards that advance the entire publishing ecosystem Drive Strategic Innovation: Develop and implement scalable automation solutions and process optimizations that address current operational needs while building future-ready systems and enhanced operational capabilities Lead Daily US Operations: Execute and optimize Meta's North American music publishing processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and operational health through effective workflow management, issue resolution, and process documentation Manage Key Partner Relationships: Serve as primary operational contact for publishing partners, proactively managing escalations and feedback while fostering collaborative relationships and open communication that drive mutual success Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Business Development, Partnerships, Legal, and Product teams to align on strategic priorities, influence roadmaps, and ensure operational perspectives shape key decisions Build Product Expertise: Become an expert in Meta's music rights management products and their application across stakeholder groups, leveraging industry insights to proactively identify and drive opportunities for operational, system, and process enhancements Champion Operational Rigor: Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging conventional approaches, leading improvement initiatives, and modelling high standards and a growth mindset that elevate team performance

Qualifications
Industry Experience: 8+ years in music operations, digital account management, or product management, with proven success driving impactful change and championing operational discipline Music Industry Knowledge: Understanding of copyright, licensing practices, rights management, and metadata standards (DDEX, CWR, CCID) with ability to navigate complex industry frameworks Specialized Music Industry Background: Direct experience at record labels, music publishers, DSPs, or UGC platforms with demonstrated experience understanding of industry dynamics and stakeholder relationships Innovation & Change Management: Demonstrated ability to innovate beyond conventional approaches, lead transformational initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through calculated risk-taking and rapid learning Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence outcomes, with a proven track record of building consensus across internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders. Skilled at championing transparency and fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals Technical Operations Expertise: Advanced proficiency in data analysis, querying, and developing scalable technical solutions to optimize workflows and inform strategic decisions Product & Engineering Collaboration: Experience partnering with technical teams to define requirements, advocate for improvements, and deliver innovative solutions in ambiguous environments Executive-Level Influence: Experience presenting to and influencing C-level stakeholders, board members, or industry executives on strategic operational initiatives Music Reporting Operations Leadership: Experience managing large-scale music reporting operations and quality control processes, with proven success optimizing workflows for efficiency and scalability while leading rollout of new data formats or industry standards Technology Solution Design: Proven track record designing and implementing technology solutions that address complex business requirements, with ability to translate needs into actionable documentation and drive successful execution IP Policy & Regulatory Expertise: Understanding of intellectual property policy, regulatory frameworks, and industry sensitivities with ability to navigate complex compliance and advocacy scenarios
