North America Development Leader – Alternative Delivery
This key leadership position ensures we engage the right contractor clients, owners and industry stakeholders in a meaningful way and are competitive in the alternative delivery marketplace throughout North America. You will partner with Development Managers and Market Leaders to identify alternative delivery opportunities and manage and build the right capability and focus on the business to convert prospects into revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales: Meeting sales goals and other KPIs identified for the role.
- Relationships: Develop, maintain and grow contractor client relationships in our key markets throughout North America. Hold key client relationships at a senior level.
- Pipeline: Identify and prioritize alternative delivery opportunities and lead strategic decisions on which opportunities to pursue and ensure a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
- Grow: Through engagement with clients and Mott MacDonald sectors and practices, drive an increase in revenue in design-build and alternative delivery projects.
- Ethics: Exemplify leadership by upholding Mott MacDonald's ethical standards and values, ensuring zero tolerance for unacceptable behaviors.
- Visibility: Engage proactively across the Unit and North America, demonstrating inspiring leadership. Foster collaboration across the Region to deliver the best of Mott MacDonald to our clients.
- Engage: Enhance employee engagement, retention, well-being, and opportunities by leveraging effective people management processes, making Mott MacDonald the employer of choice.
- Collaborate: Work collaboratively with colleagues across Mott MacDonald and drive a one Mott MacDonald approach.
About You
- Leadership - A passion for leadership, with an ability to inspire and lead a group of people as a collaborative effort with a team mentality while maintaining a high level of staff morale and performance.
- Strategic - You have a track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies in large, complex organizations.
- Market Awareness - Through previous experience you have a clear understanding of the A/E/C industry and acute knowledge of emerging delivery methods.
- Commercial Awareness & Client Relationships -You're able to balance delivering the client's needs and exceeding their expectations, while ensuring sound commercial and project results.
- Communication- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Presentation -You're able to articulate your point of view with ease and comfortable presenting to a variety of different stakeholders (peers, clients, executive leadership).
- Positive Outlook & Big Picture - You're a positive person who understands and appreciates the overarching vision and knows how to continuously work towards it.
- Success Mindset - Demonstrated track record of winning infrastructure work with public sector agencies.
- Established Network - Strong relationships with key contacts with private organizations and state and municipal agencies and the ability to leverage those relationship into a robust sales pipeline. You have a significant network of contractors and able to leverage those into a successful book of business.
- Contract Negotiation - You know key risks in Design-Build contracts and how to negotiate a successful contract execution.

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance. The expected salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
