Data Engineer

What You'll Do
As a Data Engineer at ProService Hawaii, you'll be at the forefront of building the scalable data infrastructure that powers decision-making across the company. You'll architect robust data pipelines, manage our Snowflake environment, and ensure clean, reliable access to enterprise-wide data. This is a critical role that balances technical excellence with business partnership, empowering our teams with meaningful insights while modernizing our data stack. Success looks like driving measurable improvements in data quality, performance, and accessibility as we scale for the future.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using tools like Matillion, aligned with business needs
• Administer and optimize the Snowflake data platform to support data modeling, performance, and cost-efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define metrics, meet data needs, and translate business questions into data solutions
• Provide easy access to client service data and analytics, empowering internal teams with the information they need for enhanced performance management
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are upheld and documented across all data workflows
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of data infrastructure
• Contribute to developing a comprehensive data strategy including governance, data cataloging, schema/model development, etc.

What You Bring
You bring deep experience building and managing data pipelines, paired with a practical understanding of the tools and platforms that power modern analytics. You've worked hand-in-hand with business stakeholders to translate real-world problems into technical solutions, and you're confident navigating both legacy systems and emerging technologies. You're energized by problem-solving, committed to data quality, and proactive in driving performance.

• Proven track record of success in data engineering including building and managing pipelines and databases
• Strong expertise with Snowflake and Dagster/dbt (or similar ETL platforms)
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS
• Track record of collaborating effectively, cross-functionally with business stakeholders- translating needs into actionable data solutions and clearly defined metrics
• Familiarity with data governance, documentation, and security best practices to ensure reliability and compliance
