Grove Bark Inn is a boarding, grooming and daycamp facility in Auburn owned by Zoom To Groom. We pride ourselves with giving the dogs a safe, healthy and fun environment. We are looking for a hard working, animal loving, team player to join us to help as a bather and pet care specialist in daycamp and hotel.

Must have a dependable way to work.

Must be dependable to show up to work on your scheduled days.

Working on Weekends and Holidays are part of the schedule, rotating schedule for weekends

We have animals 365 days a year in the facility.

Experience with animals is a PLUS.

Pet Care Specialist. You must LOVE dogs. Responsibilities include:

  • Staff must play with, feed, care for and entertain the pets in the facility and loving on our furry friends is a requirement.
  • Oversee day-camp rooms
  • Assist Hotel with our pets needs
  • Communicate with other staff
  • Display compassion with animals and treat them accordingly
  • Exhibit attention to detail
  • Read, write, and count to accurately complete all documentation

Bathers are Responsible for bathing and brushing dogs in preparation for grooming. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver customer satisfaction to customers and pets
  • Follow bathing/brushing procedures as company policies
  • Clean ears and clip nails
  • Understand the dogs to keep dog calm
  • Fill out required grooming forms accurately
  • Take the dogs out for potty breaks
  • Observe all safety rules and procedures and adhere to safety standards
  • Sweep, vacuum, clean and sanitize cages, tubs, and other cleaning as needed to adhere to standards
  • Operate and use all grooming tools and equipment including bathing tubs, brushes, steel combs, shears, scissors, clippers, driers, and bathing products such as perfumed shampoo and soaps
  • Communicate effectively with customers
  • Display compassion with animals and treat them accordingly
  • Exhibit attention to detail
  • Read, write, and count to accurately complete all documentation
  • Lift and carry pets generally weighing 0-50 pounds
  • Safely work around pets and pets waste
  • Assist in building operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills
  • Experience in pet care and bathing
  • Familiarity with veterinary practices and procedures
  • Customer service experience in a pet-related environment
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage kennel duties
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
