The Catering Sales Coordinator will oversee the catering sales for Delicious Cakes Bakery.

This position will act as a "Brand Ambassador" for the Delicious Cakes Catering with a mindset to grow the market through community outreach, marketing, and cold call sales. Duties include, but are not limited to, generating sales, menu sampling, contacting customers through visits, emails, calls, and text. In-store visits, catering order set up.

Full Time/Part Time Position Available

Hourly pay + Commission

Key responsibilities

Sales and business development:

  • Actively seek new clients and venues through networking and cold calls.
  • Nurture relationships with existing clients for repeat business.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to achieve sales goals.

Client and event management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop customized proposals.
  • Coordinate order management, date of completion with the back of the house, the delivery team, and other details.
  • Assist and check back for client satisfaction.

Administrative and operational tasks:

  • Enter, organize, and maintain client and sales data in a database.
  • Process orders and ensure timely and professional communication with all internal departments (e.g., kitchen, operations, delivery).
  • Assist with sales forecasting, pricing, and financial tracking.
  • Handle client payments and maintain accurate transaction records.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Superior organizational skills, including time management and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with relevant software and technology.
  • Familiarity with the catering industry, event planning, and menu development is often required.
  • A valid driver's license and personal transportation may be necessary for off-site client meetings or event support.
