Inside the Role

As an Accounting Analyst, you will be a key contributor to a high-performing and collaborative team ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for all aspects of our business. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including the full lifecycle of financial transactions—from origination and recognition to processing and reporting in financial statements. Core responsibilities include accounts payable and expense reporting processes. A key part of your role will involve investigating discrepancies and reconciling items, identifying root causes, and driving resolution in partnership with internal stakeholders and offshore resources. Additionally, you will execute user acceptance testing (UAT), champion process improvements, and implement operational efficiencies. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential for ensuring timely and accurate month-end close activities while maintaining robust internal controls.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTFS:

  • Provide support to internal and external stakeholders, serving as a liaison with Procurement and Vendor/Business Partners. Initiate and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.  
  • Conduct and review monthly accounts payable reconciliations completed by the offshore team. Analyze and investigate discrepancies, work with the offshore team to resolve issues, and escalate matters to relevant teams or process correcting entries as necessary. The role involves the use of reports, Microsoft Excel, and SAP for analysis.
  • Coordinate accounts payable accruals at month-end to ensure accurate financial statement recording.
  • Perform user acceptance testing for system upgrades or changes before implementation, document manual activities to ensure compliance, review offshore ICS testing, and provide audit support.
  • Oversee and evaluate the offshore team's management of exceptions and error resolution, including issues related to bank and payment files and invoice processing.
  • Provide thorough training sessions for all business users on SAP Fiori and ensure ongoing support for any questions encountered during regular invoice processing activities.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and initiate vendor maintenance requests.

 

Knowledge You Should Bring:

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • 2 years of business experience with account payables.
  • Knowledge of accruals, invoicing and troubleshooting or related experience.
  • Proficient in General Business
