West Columbia, South Carolina, United States MAC FACE Marketplace Co. Full time

Job description:

Job Overview

MacFace Co is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will need strong consulting and communication skills and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable cloud architectures. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role responsible for the implementation and execution of cloud security solutions — not a software development position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures and applications in AWS and Azure.
  • Develop and automate cloud security tools, accelerators, and frameworks to enhance delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations (SecOps) teams to design, build, and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or integration issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Ensure compliance with key security and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PII, SOX, PCI, CMMC, and CUI.
  • Architect and implement Zero Trust cloud security models for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Produce documentation for security tools, configurations, deployment processes, and incident reports.
  • Engage with state and local government customers and participate in periodic travel for project delivery or consultation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in Information Security and Security Engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS and Azurecloud environments.
  • Expertise in Cloud Security Design, Operations, and Automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical and security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience documenting configurations, security tools, and incident response processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Deployment and configuration experience with Palo Alto VM-Series Firewalls in AWS and Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, and F5 Load Balancer/Firewall.
  • Familiarity with cloud network segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection in hybrid environments.

Required Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Must hold AWS or Azure Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).

Preferred Certifications

  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • SC-100 – Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
  • AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Engineer (PCNSE)

Position Highlights

  • Hybrid work flexibility with periodic onsite presence in Columbia, SC.
  • Opportunity to support critical government cloud initiatives with enterprise impact.
  • Collaborative team environment with strong leadership and access to emerging technologies.
  • Extension possible based on performance and project needs.
