At Mentoring and Behavioral Services (MBS), we believe in investing in our team. We are proud to offer paid, in-house training to help you become a nationally recognized Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), your first step toward becoming an autism specialist and building a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, most commonly children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), to promote skill-building, reduce challenging behaviors, and support meaningful growth across schools, and clinical settings.

Duties

  • Implement individualized care plans and behavioral interventions designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Provide direct 1:1 support to children and adolescents in clinic, home, school, or community settings.
  • Utilize evidence-based behavior management techniques to promote skill acquisition and decrease problem behaviors.
  • Collect and document behavioral data and treatment progress with precision and professionalism.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive, family-centered care.
  • Educate families on ABA strategies to encourage generalization of skills at home and beyond.
  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to expand your ABA knowledge.
  • Remain adaptable, patient, and solution-focused in dynamic work environments.

Requirements-

  • High school diploma or GED (required); college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to the clinic or school settings (as applicable).
  • Passion for working with children, especially those with special needs.
  • Ability to take direction, collect data accurately, and implement plans with consistency.
  • Background check and other compliance requirements (as mandated by state/federal regulations).
