Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Driver in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. Your visible presence and proactive communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact through exceptional customer service and teamwork, upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside the facility and around the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity within the manufacturing and industrial location.
- Observe and report any irregularities, including suspicious activities or hazards, to the appropriate Allied Universal contacts and site management.
- Assist personnel, contractors, and visitors with access control, directions, and policy information as needed.
- Document all security-related incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Work collaboratively with site personnel and first responders as required during emergencies and/or incidents.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
