Seeking Candidates:

A small high-technology company is looking for part-time and full-time welders to fabricate tanks and enclosures. Those who apply will be provided with the opportunity to grow into supervisory and management positions. Applicants are expected to behave professionally as interactions with customers require the highest level of effective communication without drama.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW as multi-pass in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
  • Heat oxygen/propane heating torch.
  • Perform grinding fit-up work
  • Must be able to pass ASME weld testing – coupons
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities to follow welding procedures.
  • Candidate must be able to work directly under a mechanical engineer and to effectively communicate technical issues.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of stainless-steel welding experience
  • Successfully pass several tests as contingent upon employment.
  • Must have at least one year of structural welding experience.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
  • Candidate must be able to occasionally travel to perform service work.
  • Operating a press break and plasma cutter will enhance hiring selection

· Will be considered for the position of shop manager after demonstrating skills and ability to manage task and orders.
