Operations Lead

Location: Fargo, ND (Hybrid / In-Office 3+ days per week)

Reports to: CEO

Overview

Detect Auto is modernizing the automotive repair industry through automation and data intelligence. We're looking for a strategic operator to serve as a strong integrator for key company initiatives. This person will oversee day-to-day operations, manage 3-4 direct reports, and help the company scale with precision and clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal operations across HR, finance, and data functions.
  • Manage 3-4 direct reports and ensure cross-department alignment.
  • Build and maintain processes for onboarding, reporting, and accountability.
  • Run operational cadences (OKRs, leadership meetings, retrospectives).
  • Partner with the CEO to translate goals into execution roadmaps.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance and efficiency.
  • Manage vendor contracts, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
  • Drive clarity, remove bottlenecks, and enable teams to execute faster.

Required / Preferred Experience

Required:

  • 5+ years in operations, project management, or general management roles.
  • Experience managing people and company-wide initiatives.
  • Proven success driving cross-functional execution.

Preferred:

  • Background in SaaS, tech startups, or high-growth operational environments.
  • Familiarity with HR, accounting, and data systems (Rippling, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Experience with the automotive repair industry.

Salary Range

  • $90,000 - $130,000
