Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Yardi, CRM with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, and Fair Housing regulations. This role involves overseeing daily property operations, maintaining tenant relationships, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. The Assistant Property Manager will play a key role in property leasing, maintenance coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth property management functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing property leasing processes, including tenant screening, lease signing, and renewals using platforms like Yardi and CRM
  • Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements
  • Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts effectively through strong conflict management skills
  • Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management.
  • Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and record-keeping for legal documents, contracts, and tenant files
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met
  • Support lease negotiations and upselling of available units or services to prospective tenants
  • Assist in administrative duties such as phone etiquette, customer service interactions, and office organization
  • Collaborate with leasing agents and vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Prepare reports related to occupancy rates, lease status, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in property management, leasing skills.
  • Knowledge of Landlord-Tenant law, and Fair Housing regulations
  • Proficiency in Yardi, CRM, or similar property management software
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience with contracts negotiation, legal administrative procedures, and facilities management
  • Ability to handle data entry accurately and maintain organized filing systems
  • Office experience with administrative tasks such as data management, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and upselling opportunities
  • Familiarity with property maintenance coordination and basic facilities management principles
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor suitable for client interactions
