Who will you be working with?
The Lead Facility Maintenance Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a comprehensive site maintenance program to include direct management of the site's maintenance team. This key staff position will help drive KCR's preventive maintenance program, support the production team by responding to and limiting equipment downtime, and coordinating both equipment OEM and contractor maintenance visits.

How will you make a difference?
This role is responsible for forecasting and managing annual plant maintenance budgets. This role will drive structure, rigor, and process improvements into the maintenance team and into the plant's maintenance practices. In this role, you will interact cross-functionally with plant staff, our workforce, site maintenance technicians, business-level resources, and numerous equipment OEM's and vendors that support the facility.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering / Maintenance / or other technical discipline, OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 8 years of facility/maintenance management.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience/familiarity with the TPM system and concepts, including Lean principles.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strong problem-solving history.
  • Demonstrated performance managing multiple detailed projects simultaneously.
  • Time management skills, ability to adjust to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to influence others.
  • Wabtec knowledgeable, UX facility experience preferred.
  • Proactive attitude and a sense of urgency with meeting role objectives.
  • Experience with remanufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance for a facility and/or operation.
  • CNC and/or other relevant machine programming experience.
  • High sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to prioritize.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proven hands-on mechanical skills, ability to work on machines or equipment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with equipment installation and facilities modifications, including management of capital and expense projects
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and function calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
  • Experience using Maximo or similar maintenance ERP system.

What will your typical day look like?
Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and coordinate all maintenance activities throughout facility.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with all site and OSHA policies and practices.
  • Manage maintenance and other associated budgets, seek opportunities to reduce cost.
  • Request quotes, place and manage purchase orders for maintenance and facility related items.
  • Manage and maintain critical spares for machines, minimizing downtime and overall repair cycle.
  • Institute preventative maintenance program on critical machines as defined by operations team.
  • Utilize sensor enabled machines to prevent failure, reduce downtime, and aid in machine troubleshooting.
  • Lead in hiring, training, supervising, and managing Maintenance Technician team.
  • Develop a team that is focused on working together to solve complex problems.
  • Facilitate budget and annual spend estimates.
  • Monitor the selection, contract placement, safety, and ongoing control of all contractors on site.
  • Maintain status of building equipment documentation to include failure statistics and analysis.
  • Manage and control of operation of outsourced contracted services.
  • Maintain availability on 24 hours per day call basis with backup from the facility staff.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
