Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Weekly Yoga Instructor & Community Partner to join our vibrant health and fitness community. This role involves leading engaging yoga classes, fostering community connections, and promoting overall wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yoga instruction, group fitness, and a variety of fitness disciplines, with a focus on creating an inclusive and motivating environment for participants of all levels. This position offers an excellent opportunity to inspire others, develop community programs, and contribute to the health and well-being of our members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly yoga classes tailored to diverse skill levels, emphasizing proper body mechanics and safe practice techniques.
  • Design and implement innovative fitness programs incorporating elements of Pilates, CrossFit, cycling, and other group fitness modalities.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that encourages community engagement and participation in wellness activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop community outreach initiatives that promote health club offerings.
  • Provide guidance on physiology, anatomy knowledge, and body mechanics to enhance participant understanding and safety during classes.
  • Incorporate skills from sports coaching, personal training, and fitness sales to motivate members and promote ongoing participation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment aligned with health standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends in yoga, Pilates, dance, and sports coaching to continually improve class content.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in teaching yoga, group fitness, or related disciplines such as Pilates or dance.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and safe movement practices.
  • Certifications in yoga instruction; additional certifications in CrossFit, personal training, or sports coaching are a plus.
  • Familiarity with gym operations and health club environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants.
  • Ability to design engaging programs that incorporate various fitness modalities like cycling or kickboxing when appropriate.
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness within the community.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
