As a Sales Director in one of Redfin's largest and most visible markets, you will lead a high-performing, values-driven sales organization that delivers outstanding service and results. Your mission: grow and elevate your region by mentoring top talent, refining operations, and creating a culture where both employees and customers thrive. You'll lead a team of sales leaders and 200+ agents across Washington state, shape strategy, hire exceptional team members, and drive market performance through operational excellence and smart decision-making. A successful candidate will grow the brokerage both in market share and in profitability.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Real Estate Operations.

What You'll Do
Lead and Inspire:

  • Lead with vision and discipline, providing strategic direction and mentorship to both market and sales managers while driving a culture of excellence, accountability and customer obsession.
  • Serve as the go-to industry expert in your market, providing strategic leadership, trusted guidance, and real estate expertise that drives your team's success.
  • Ability to communicate with executive presence and clarity. You will own the delivery of strategic performance updates to the executive team at quarterly business reviews, owning the results and representing the needs of the market.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Evaluate and improve local processes, ensuring alignment with central strategy while identifying opportunities where new or modified approaches are needed.
  • Collaborate closely with central operations to help shape and implement solutions for complex or evolving market needs.

Own The Market P&L

  • Forecast, manage, and own your market's budget and headcount.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure profitability through smart resource allocation and expense management.

Recruit And Develop Top Talent

  • Partner with your recruiter to attract, hire, and onboard high-performing agents and sales managers.
  • Build a team of professionals who raise the bar and embody a culture of excellence and accountability.

Accelerate Growth & Deliver Results

  • Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and increasing market presence.
  • Oversee the growth and performance of the luxury segment, coaching agents to deliver exceptional service.
  • Innovate customer experiences while focusing on client satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational success.

Who You Are

  • A Proven Leader: You've demonstrated expertise in a market of exceptional size, complexity and revenue generation (200+ employees, $12MM+ quarterly revenue). You lead by example and have at least 7 years of experience managing a high-performing sales team. You are a leader of leaders who inspires, develops and empowers a team of high-performing sales leaders to drive growth and deliver exceptional results across multiple regions in Washington state.
  • Real Estate Expert: You bring 10+ years of real estate experience. A broker's license or agent license is required.
  • Strategic and Analytical: You're data-driven and make sound decisions backed by analysis. You can build and scale a business using measurable goals. You have demonstrated the ability to apply market-specific or experimental strategies to create additional value in your market.
  • Business Savvy: You are comfortable owning the P&L, making data-driven decisions, and optimizing the routing of demand to maximize both revenue and customer experience.
  • Collaborative: You are comfortable interfacing with cross-functional partners and leaders to build efficiencies and increase effectiveness.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You write clearly and speak with confidence, translating complex ideas into actionable plans for your team.
  • Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable with technology and use it to drive efficiency and performance.
  • Talent Magnet: You recognize top talent when you see it—and know how to attract, develop, and retain it. You have a proven track record of staffing teams at scale to take market share and reach or exceed your revenue and growth targets.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable disclosure requirements.
Total Earnings Range: $200,000-$320,000, comprised of Base Pay of $150,000 and additional variable incentive compensation. Total Earnings will depend on varying circumstances, including individual performance and market finances.
