Job Overview
Operational Focus/Responsibilities:
- All operational functions for Technology group, including, but not limited to the management of all field services and technicians.
- Tech profit and loss review, including quarterly reforecast and annual budgeting in conjunction with Divisional Vice President Operations and Senior Operations Analyst – with a primary focus on project budgets.
- Work with Divisional Vice President Security Engineering & Infrastructure to coordinate, pursue, test, and implement new technologies to maintain leading edge for technology.
Objectives:
- To ensure that property teams, partner entities, and tenants receive the best possible solutions for their requirements. That all systems are completed with the highest level of quality, best performance capabilities, most cost-effective price, and within the timeliest schedule possible.
- Represent Tech group to all departments, including, but not limited to Operations, Property Management, IT, Development, and Construction so that we receives the best possible solutions and service for the function and operation of the building(s).
- Review Engineering's proposed scope of work on projects for accuracy on projected manpower and potential additional equipment, etc.
Functional Focus:
- Maintaining security systems, backups, and accurate system data for all properties and clients.
- Bid development and leveling for projects.
- Maintain and develop strategic partnerships.
- Direct Tech's schedule with the Director of Field Services.
- Participate in vendor and contractor interviews, selection, and management with the Engineering team and Divisional Vice President Operations.
- Conduct product research, evaluation, and testing with Engineering.
- Ensure and perform quality control, best practices, and standards.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and perform quarterly written personnel reviews of each Tech member that falls under their purview.
- Lead weekly team meetings and bi-weekly one-on-one briefings with each team member. Weekly meetings to focus on projects, special requirements, inventory, delivery dates, etc.
- Coordinate and participate in project kick-off meetings and develop project documentation.
- Manage and ensure services and maintenance are being performed in a professional and timely manner, as per Tech's service contracts with clients.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of all on-going work and service contracts.
- Manage Angus/MRI work orders on a daily basis, including but not limited to, assigning tickets, monitoring incoming tickets, ticket status, ensuring completion in a timely manner, costs assigned, etc.
- Maintain open communication with all clients to ensure needs are met and exceeded.
- Meet and maintain relationships with the property management teams, not only for themselves, but Tech team members as well.
- Review building layouts, equipment locations, and systems information with the Tech team.
- Be aware of any projects, maintenance, service, break-fix, trends, issues, and requests from clients and their status.
- Conduct and schedule bi-annual visits to the serviced properties to identify and evaluate gaps in service/coverage.
- Participate and conduct custom integrations and proof of concepts.
- Develop a training and certification plan/schedule for all Tech team members.
- Testing of new equipment and development of programs to maintain best-in-class service and systems for clients.
- Review Riser Forms and oversee IPBB management.
Education / Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an installer/service support related environment, preferably in the field of security systems.
- While not required, a degree in Computer Electronics or Digital Electronics would be beneficial.
Preferred certifications:
- OSHA 30 Certification, demonstrating knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- AXIS Certification, showcasing expertise in AXIS products and solutions.
- S2/Lenel/AMAG/Honeywell/Genetec Certification, indicating proficiency in specific access control systems.
- Lift Certifications (Single or Boom), certifying the ability to operate lifts safely and effectively.
- Any CCTV Certification, highlighting expertise in closed-circuit television systems
