You will work closely with the Enterprise Data Management team to analyze large datasets, create insightful reports, and develop interactive dashboards that help drive strategic business decisions.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience in AI-augmented data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization. You'll develop practical skills in prompt engineering, AI agent workflows, and how AI transforms data-driven decision-making—all while receiving mentorship from experienced data professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements, translating them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Leverage AI agents and LLM-based tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) to accelerate data exploration, code generation, documentation, and insight synthesis.
  • Design and refine prompts to effectively query AI systems for data analysis tasks, report generation, and automated summarization.
  • Build and experiment with AI-assisted workflows that automate repetitive analytics tasks such as data profiling, anomaly detection, and natural language report generation.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into existing BI solutions, including natural language querying and AI-generated insights.
  • Gather data from databases, Excel, APIs, external data providers, and other sources.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Clean, preprocess, and structure data to make it suitable for analysis, reporting, and AI model consumption.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other BI tools.
  • Document data analysis processes, AI prompt templates, methodologies, and findings for future reference and team knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and summaries to communicate key insights and findings to stakeholders, including demonstrations of AI-enhanced analytics capabilities.

Education/Background Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework in data analysis, database management, business intelligence, data visualization, or artificial intelligence/machine learning.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge or experience writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in using AI agents and LLM-based tools (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for coding assistance, data analysis, or content generation.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering principles—how to craft effective prompts to get accurate, useful outputs from AI systems.
  • Awareness of AI capabilities and limitations in data analytics contexts, including data privacy and responsible AI considerations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify patterns.
  • Ability to create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations that tell a compelling data story.
  • Good communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new tools and technologies—especially emerging AI capabilities.
  • Previous internship or project experience in data management, AI/ML applications, or a related field is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in data operations, data analytics, AI-augmented workflows, and data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Gain

  • Practical experience applying AI tools to real business analytics challenges.
