Security Network Engineer

Description
We are looking for a skilled Security Network Engineer to join a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) and ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network security infrastructures. This role requires hands-on expertise in securing client environments, monitoring threats, and responding to incidents across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving security measures and troubleshooting complex issues in diverse environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement secure network architectures tailored to client needs.
Configure, maintain, and optimize firewalls, VPNs, and secure network segmentation.
Manage next-generation firewalls from vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, SonicWall, and Meraki.
Monitor security alerts and incidents, conducting investigations and providing timely remediation.
Strengthen identity and access security through tools like Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
Enhance security for cloud-based and hybrid environments, including Azure networking and firewall policies.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and execute plans for remediation and system hardening.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into infrastructure and cloud projects.
Participate in incident response efforts, performing root cause analyses and delivering post-incident reports.
Create and update security documentation, including standards and client-specific diagrams.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security or security engineering roles.
Proficient in managing firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, and other network security components.
Experience supporting multi-tenant environments or consulting roles.
Strong knowledge of IP protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, and related concepts.
Familiarity with cloud security fundamentals, particularly within Azure environments.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle security incidents effectively.
Experience with ticketing systems, documentation, and change management processes.
Certifications in security or related fields are preferred, such as Security+, CySA+, or vendor-specific certifications.
