Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker & Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a personal care home or retirement home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong caregiving skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

-A Homemaker's job duties include maintaining a household, and providing companionship. Homemakers may work in private households, with home care agencies

Household management

  • Light house cleaning
  • Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Doing dishes
  • Changing bed linens
  • Doing laundry
  • Cleaning bathrooms
  • Take out trash

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of personal care systems and practices related to direct support.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients safely, adhering to proper techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
