The Bilingual Program Supervisor provides strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of Family Focus's immigration services, focusing on citizenship and DACA application processing. This role supervises staff, manages client recruitment and intake, ensures compliance with DOJ accreditation and immigration laws, and drives program evaluation and improvement to meet community needs and grant requirements. This role is key in building strong relationships with the community by maintaining a consistent presence and engagement.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Overseeing all immigration program operations, ensuring adherence to Family Focus's mission and funder requirements.
- Supervising Immigration Program staff including DACA Specialists (I & II) and Citizenship Specialist, providing oversight and professional development support.
- Leading recruitment, training, and management of program volunteers and interns.
- Developing, monitoring, and evaluating program goals and effectiveness. Implementing improvements based on data and best practices.
- Maintaining compliance with DOJ Accreditation standards and all relevant immigration laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Supervising intake and eligibility assessments, coordinate with Intake Workers for comprehensive client screenings.
- Reviewing and approving applications for citizenship, DACA, and other immigration relief pathways. Providing services and/or support for complex cases.
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents including affidavits, petitions, motions, and client correspondence.
- Overseeing case documentation and data entry ensuring accuracy and timely updates in electronic case management systems.
- Facilitating community education workshops, legal clinics, and outreach programs to enhance access to immigration services.
- Building and sustaining partnerships with community organizations, legal service providers, and government agencies.
- Representing Family Focus at community events, coalitions, and immigration-related forums.
- Monitoring changes in immigration policies and regulations, adjusting program delivery accordingly.
- Managing accurate and timely client data collection for reporting purposes.
- Preparing comprehensive reports for internal teams and funders; assisting in grant writing and renewal applications.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Legal Studies or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- DOJ Accredited Representative preferred or must obtain accreditation within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in immigration legal services, including citizenship and DACA application processing.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in immigration or legal services.
- Proven track record working with USCIS, ICE, CBP, EOIR, NVC, and other immigration agencies.
- Experience with Adjustment of Status, Work Authorization applications, TPS, U-Visa, VAWA, I-751, Parole in Place, appellate work, and legal motions is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or other languages preferred.
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with sensitivity to immigrant experiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems.
- Personal, reliable transportation preferred.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Salary:
$60, ,000/year.
