Location : Windsor, CT (Onsite)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and manage the roadmap for enterprise data initiatives, including ETL/ELT modernization, data platform scalability, and governance.
  • Align program goals with business priorities and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across data engineering, analytics, and business units.
  • Technical Oversight
  • Oversee the design and implementation of ETL/ELT architectures with Snowflake.
  • Ensure integration of diverse data sources (RDBMS, APIs, SaaS, flat files, streaming platforms) into Snowflake.
  • Drive performance optimization strategies (virtual warehouses, clustering, query tuning).
  • Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Mentor and guide ETL/ELT developers and data engineers.
  • Facilitate collaboration between data architects, BI developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party tools for data integration and automation.
  • Governance & Quality
  • Establish and enforce data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks.
  • Promote best practices for scalable, reusable, and cost-effective data integration.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with Snowflake features and emerging data technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across data pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or technical program management.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale data programs with Snowflake as the central platform.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Matillion, SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT, Fivetran).
  • Expertise in SQL and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with data modeling (star/snowflake schema, data vault) and warehousing principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with real-time data integration (Kafka, Kinesis, Azure Event Hub).
  • Knowledge of data governance/catalog tools (Collibra, Alation).
  • Exposure to big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Familiarity with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
