Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has exciting opportunities for multiple Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialists (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our Quality Organization in Mesa, AZ
Employees will be required to obtain a minimum of Level II certification in UT or RT method. Failure to achieve or maintain the required certifications may lead to termination of employment.
The NDT Specialist will join and work in a dynamic team supportive team within a fabrication environment using automated and traditional systems, evaluating collected data, making accept/reject decisions. Ideal candidates will have the ability to interpret blueprint requirements and have the capability of supporting and/or developing inspection procedures. Successful candidates will have experience in NAS410 standard, be an effective communicator, and be able to work across multiple diverse functions, including partnering with operations and engineering teams.
The Nondestructive Test Technician Level II is responsible for performing and overseeing nondestructive testing (NDT) procedures in accordance with NAS410/BSS7698 standards. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and safety of aerospace components and systems. The technician will utilize various NDT methods, including but not limited to ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing, to detect defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment to controlled standards.
- Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment.
- Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity.
- Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.
- Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results.
- Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- NAS410-qualifying education for Non-Destructive Testing
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications
- More than 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Level 3: Current or recently held (in the last 18 months) NAS410 Certified Level II in one or more NDT methods (Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT)
- Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience with aerospace Non-Destructive Testing
- Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
- 1+ year of experience performing Non-Destructive Testing on composite parts
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Travel:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
