JOB SUMMARY AND KEY OBJECTIVES
BAKERY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for all areas relating to machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and facilities maintenance. Supervises maintenance and facility maintenance associates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Directly supervises maintenance mechanics and facility maintenance associate and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information to all associates by answering questions and requests.
- Schedules and provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Supervises and performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs of packaging and production machines. Assures that lockout/tag/out procedures are used when equipment is being repaired.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Prepares maintenance reports for the General Manager's review and approval by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains the parts inventory on a monthly basis in conjunction with the Accounting Team Leader.
- Follows purchasing guidelines for the Maintenance Team when purchasing replacement parts.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, and policies. Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Personally commits to a continuing educational process that improves/expands business capacities and capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Education
Five to seven years prior maintenance experience in production and packaging machinery.
A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Possesses equipment maintenance knowledge, technical understanding, and technical zeal. Able to deal with uncertainty.
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent plus technical/vocational training; exposure to high-speed equipment.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $90,000.00 per year
