Job Title: Accountant

Location: Remote, Chicagoland area

Position Description:

Corporate Leadership Center is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as an Accountant. This position has responsibility for the financial aspects of the organization, from processing payments and invoices to assistance with preparing and monitoring budgets for the programs and overall organization. This role requires broad analytical and communication skills. Being comfortable with independent problem solving and the importance of confidentiality are critical to success in this role.

Reporting Relationship:

This role reports to the Finance Manager and supports the staff of Corporate Leadership Center and its programs.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, distribute and oversee follow-up of participant invoices for the programs
• Process payments for accounts payable invoices and monthly credit card statements
• Record and maintain financial activity in QuickBooks
• Process bimonthly payroll in ADP
• Assist in month-end close process
• Assist in preparing financial reporting for the senior leadership team
• Assist with the annual audit, including preparing supporting information, answering questions and reviewing annual reports and Form 990
• Assist in preparing the annual budget, update forecasts throughout the year, and analyze variances
• Assist in maintaining policies and processes to ensure financial control and efficiencies
• Monitor cash flow needs
• Manage digitally storing documents, downloading statements and filing as needed
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• College degree in accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting positions
• Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Advance expertise in Excel and other Microsoft Office 365 software

Status:

Part-time / hourly (average approximately 20 hours a week) and flexible. The work will be performed primarily remotely, with some in-person meetings required. The estimated hourly range for this job is $40-$45. Corporate Leadership Center does not offer any additional benefits beyond hourly wage.
