Spray Technician – Maintenance (2026 Season)

Location: North Haven, CT

Season Start: Mid-March to Early April 2026

Pay Range: $24–$35 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

The Spray Technician works independently and reports to the Production Manager, supporting plant health care and agronomic programs across our commercial properties. This role is responsible for safe chemical application, quality control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. We are seeking an experienced Spray Technician who takes ownership of their work and contributes to a strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other treatments in compliance with all label, local, state, and federal regulations (the label is the law)
  • Maintain EL and client quality standards across all assigned properties
  • Inspect landscapes for turf, plant, tree, and irrigation issues and report concerns proactively
  • Plan and execute daily work efficiently in coordination with the Production Manager
  • Maintain accurate documentation of products and applications
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and organization of equipment and vehicles
  • Uphold company standards for safety, uniforms, fleet, and facilities
  • Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams
  • Commit to continuous improvement through training and development

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior spray technician or plant health care experience required
Preferred Licenses & Certifications
  • Applicator's License
  • OSHA Certification (preferred)
Work Conditions
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable handling chemicals and fertilizers
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed
