Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Spray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, applying, and curing powder coatings on various materials to ensure high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas that do not require powder coating.
  • Measure and mix powder coatings according to manufacturer specifications and apply coatings using spray equipment to achieve a consistent finish.
  • Operate curing ovens to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality of the powder-coated surfaces.
  • Inspect finished products for defects, such as runs, bubbles, or uneven coverage, and make necessary adjustments or reapply as needed.
  • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot spray equipment and pumps to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety and environmental regulations while handling materials and operating equipment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and safety standards is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or finish/powder coating environment is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience working with metal is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
