Role Overview

We're seeking a Client Accounting Specialist /Outsourced Controller to manage day-to-day accounting operations for small business clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills who enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical financial insights.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in public accounting
  • Experience acting as outsourced accounting or a controller for small business.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee client accounting operations, including AR/AP, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Assist clients with budgeting and cash flow tracking
  • Maintain organized workflows and documentation for multiple clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a public accounting or outsourced controller role
  • Familiarity with small business industries such as real estate, professional services, construction, and other entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
