About this Job

LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services is seeking motivated individuals for the position of Horticultural Attendant. Persons applying must have one year of experience in any of the following: farming, the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs, or groundskeeping.

Starting rate of pay is $16.06 per hour with an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only, rate may be negotiable based on applicants' qualifications.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Parking garage, parking lot, sidewalk and curb maintenance
  • Cleaning elevators and stairwells
  • Cleaning elevated walkways
  • Landscape maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience or training in farming, the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs, or groundskeeping; OR

Six semester hours in a plant science or landscape field of study.
