Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager/Estimator that has a minimum of 5 years experience in Fire Damage Restoration to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in various construction management software. This role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and experience with project scheduling. The Project Manager/Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are accurately estimated and executed within budget and timeline constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Utilize construction estimating software such as Xactimate to create accurate Fire Damage Restoration estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimation process.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimations.
  • Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation for future reference.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members throughout the estimation process.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or related field with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, contracts, and project scheduling techniques.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
