Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Locations: Austin, TX & Houston, TX

Pay Range: $80,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in Austin or Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial electrical estimating, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and field personnel to produce accurate and competitive bids.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain estimating tools and databases.
  • Assist with bid reviews, value engineering, and budgeting as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically in commercial construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings.
  • Basic understanding of commercial electrical codes (NEC, UL, IBC, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Accubid software is a plus.
  • Demonstrated job stability (ideally 4+ years in previous positions).
