Automotive Propulsion Fuel Flow Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop fuel flow systems for automotive propulsion platforms
  • Conduct simulations and CFD analyses to optimize fuel delivery and combustion efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engine calibration, thermal, and controls teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Analyze fuel system performance data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop and execute test procedures for fuel flow components and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety, emissions, and regulatory standards
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design specs, test reports, and validation protocols.
  • Support R & Dinitiatives for alternative fuels and electrified propulsion systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • Min 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and combustion principles.
  • Experience with fuel system components (injectors, pumps, valves, sensors).
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB, GT-Power)
  • Familiarity with automotive propulsion systems (ICE, hybrid, EV).
  • Knowledge of emissions control technologies and fuel economy strategies is preferred
  • Exposure to regulatory standards (EPA, CARB, Euro 6) is preferred
  • Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Office and lab-based work with occasional travel to test facilities or manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation and sustainability
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in automotive testing environments (dyno, test benches) is preferred
