Job Description

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in SAINT HELENA, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving position. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times on educational premises.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor the location for any unusual activity and report observations to appropriate personnel as required.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and guiding visitors as needed within the educational setting.
  • Support the enforcement of location-specific policies and rules to maintain an orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a current Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
