Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Manager to maintain, landscape, repair, and maintenance our storage facilities. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and maintenance management skills, ensuring that all storage properties are safe, rent ready and maintain a good curb appeal..

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for preparing storage units and the overall facility for new tenants. This includes performing various repairs, cleaning, and maintenance tasks to ensure the units are safe, secure, and ready for occupancy. The technician will work with the facility team to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and that the facility remains in top shape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks in vacant storage units, including fixing doors, locks, walls, and floors.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain security systems, including gates, fences, and lighting.
  • Clean and perform touch-ups on storage units, ensuring they are presentable and ready for customers.
  • Replace or repair damaged or broken locks, handles, or other unit components.
  • Repair and maintain facility infrastructure, including fences, gates, and pavement.
  • Ensure all safety features, such as fire alarms, emergency exits, and security cameras, are functioning properly.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to keep the facility running smoothly and avoid disruptions.
  • Assist with cleaning and preparing the common areas, including the office and parking lots.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and ensure a quick resolution to prevent disruptions.
  • Track and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and parts.
  • Follow safety guidelines and adhere to all facility policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in maintenance or repair work is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in maintenance or make-ready work, experience in a self-storage or similar environment. is a huge plus.
  • Proficient in general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and security system maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in a maintenance setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $32, $35,000.00 per year
