Job Summary: GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern to support inspection and measurement activities for our Formula 1 power unit components. This internship offers hands-on experience in high-precision manufacturing and quality processes while working alongside experienced engineers to ensure components meet tight specifications and FIA regulations.  



Date of Internship: Summer 2026 



Job Location: On-Site at GM Performance Power Units, 4540 Fortune Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027 



Key Responsibilities:  



Assist with day to day quality operations along with special projects Conduct inspections and measurements of precision components under supervision. Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support root cause investigations and process improvements. Help maintain the metrology lab, including equipment calibration and organization. Support creation of measurement documentation, control plans, and quality records. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to learn quality processes and ensure compliance with standards. Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications: 



Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Interest in quality assurance, metrology, or manufacturing processes. Basic familiarity with CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel). Coursework involving precision measurement
