Creative Dining Services is looking for a friendly, experienced Cook to join our dining services team on the Grand Rapids Community College campus. Our cooks are responsible for ensuring that high-quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation. This role will involve spend time in both the front- and back-of-house areas, helping with daily prep tasks as well as serving guests in the GRCC campus cafeteria.  

Enjoy a set schedule - typically Monday through Thursday, with expected time off over the winter holidays and academic breaks. Summer schedule may vary, but will generally involve cooking for our Preschool, covering breaks and helping support our management team.

Core Responsibilities:

Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal Maintain a safe, sanitary work area at all times Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating Interact with guests as their food is being prepared  Putting away/Pulling stock, cleaning fry equipment as needed
