Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our landscape maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves supervising groundskeeping activities, ensuring the health and aesthetics of our gardens, lawns, and trees. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall appearance of our properties while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the landscape maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.

- Oversee lawn care activities including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf.

- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and techniques are implemented for optimal plant health.

- Conduct regular inspections of gardens, landscapes, and trees to assess health and identify maintenance needs.

- Implement tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary to promote safety and aesthetics.

- Train team members on best practices in landscape maintenance, safety protocols, and equipment usage.

- Maintain equipment used for groundskeeping tasks, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.

- Develop work schedules for team members to ensure adequate coverage for all maintenance tasks.

Requirements

- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping with supervisory responsibilities preferred.

- Strong knowledge of gardening techniques, landscape design principles, and plant care.

- Experience with irrigation systems and lawn care practices is preferred

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor spaces.

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
